Overview

We’re looking for a talented Public Relations professional to generate media and speaking opportunities in the US for iProspect, the leading digital performance agency. As an individual contributor on the iProspect Marketing team, this role works closely with our Executive team to build brand awareness and showcase our digital expertise in the industry. Along with PR expertise, the Public Relations Manager should have an established understanding of the media landscape and existing relationships with industry press. The role has two main areas of focus:

 

Responsibilities

Media Relations:

 

  • Develop and execute a public relations strategy that aligns with our agency’s goals
  • Manage multiple ongoing public relations projects
  • Establish and nurture relationships with media covering the digital marketing and advertising industry
  • Identify new press opportunities and coordinate outreach and follow-up 
  • Review media for industry trends and topics
  • Create copy for press releases, pitches for byline articles and speaking opportunities, and agency-focused award submissions

Thought Leadership & Speaking:

  • Develop content themes and topics with iProspect thought leaders that will engage media
  • Curate speaking opportunities for our thought leaders and create pitches for submission
  • Manage the content development of speakers’ presentations
  • Coach iProspect thought leaders in preparation for media interviews and speaking engagements

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years public relations experience with a proven track record in creating innovative and targeted communications programs that generate media coverage
  • Existing relationships with key press contacts for relevant industry/trade and consumer media (ex. AdAge, AdWeek, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, etc.) as well as industry events (ex. SXSW, CES, AdWeek, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in positioning a business/agency in the media

 

Skills:

  • Extremely strong in developing and telling a story, with outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excels in a deadline-oriented environment with shifting priorities
  • Proactive and persistent when seeking out and securing opportunities

Able to balance high level strategic thinking with creative and detailed execution
